Final Evaluation Premiere Pro When it comes to Premiere Pro i was aware of how to handle the software meaning it was easier to for me finish the project and experiment with some effects as i was familiar with software. I think that Cup of Tea project was successful this is because it meets it's desired purpose which is to show how to make a cup of tea in a unique by including various shots that allowed the work to be more exciting i.e. underneath the cup shot. Furthermore, i think this project could have been improved by including maybe more shots for example over the top and underneath the cup shot at the same time in between each other to create an illusion of an abstract piece of work however that would require bigger budget as i would have to set up two cameras simultaneously in order to record the same thing. After Effects work Today, i have decided to work on alternate version of the cup of tea project which includes inspiration from video. I have decided to distort For this shot i have used a wave effect on After Effects to create an illusion of a wave in the middle of the shot For this shot i have used a book peel effect in the right hand corner For this shot i have distorted the handle of the kettle to blend in with the rest of the shot and make it invisible in a sense For this shot i have turned the footage upside down and added in VR 360 effect that have added in the fish eye lens effect as well as it made it look like a cinema screen. Lastly, i have used liquify effect to blend in the cup of tea which adds in enigma and makes the subject more abstract as it leaves the interpretation to the viewer.
7/04/20 Today i have started to record some footage for the Cup of Tea project and explain why i have chosen such shot types for my video. For these two shots i have decided to include my hand to highlight an idea that the video is from first perspective so that the audience can feel more immersed. For this type of shot i have established the location/setting of the kettle. For this shot i have put a camera underneath the cup in order to achieve the effect where a camera is looking at me upwards creating an illusion that potentially viewer has power over me. For this shot i have decided to include that in to show the work at the end and how the tea turned out at the end .
5/04/20 Today when working from home i have decided to start on Cup of Tea project. Where i had an idea/inspiration from Asian youtube cooking videos which were presenting the subjecting in the ASMR manner where everything was toned out and quiet and only natural sounds were present. Furthermore, i wanted to include some kind of specific shot that would make the video unique. So. in order to get started i figured i should start out with a rough plan which was to divide video into steps where each step is shown in the corner of the video. Step 1- Grab a tea/teabag Step 2- Grab a cup Step 3- Boil some water Step 4- Put a teabag and boiling water in the cup Step 5- Enjoy
28/02/20 During today's session I have created a smoke effect in After Effects as well as I have started to play around with a 3D camera and using my name where bits of the name would break apart. For the name effect I have used a masking tool in order to create a duplicate layer which has only parts that have broken off furthermore in order to move around the scenery i have used a two node 3D camera which allowed to get the end result where i am able to move around the scene and create animation. For the smoke effect i have focused on using fractal noise tool and text tool in order to get the effect where in order to get the effect of smoke moving I have duplicated a layer of fractal noise but have made it to move in another direction and with different texture in order to create more realistic movement.
27/02/20 During today's session we have done After Effects animation based on bounce animation. For this project i have used effects like CC Particle World which allowed to have the particle effect every time a letter bounces off the edge and comes back. Furthermore, in order to make an effect of the letter bouncing i squished it a little to make it look like it's compressed when bouncing using scale in transform section. Furthermore, to add a sense of movement i have applied Vector blur which allowed me to blur the letter when it's moving. Lastly, I have added in various sounds for example sound of basketball or ping pong ball in order to imitate the sound of bouncing. However, it doesn't sound as professional but i have done it in order to test out the features of After Effects.
